North Melbourne is pleased to welcome Aaron Greaves as head of player development.

Greaves brings five seasons of experience from Port Adelaide and an additional two as midfield coach at Melbourne.

Prior, he coached the Falcons in the TAC Cup and was a player with North Ballarat, and Geelong.

A former school teacher, Greaves also worked with elite athletes at the Victorian Institute of Sport.

Greaves built and implemented a cutting edge learning program at the Power, to assist players and coaches learn on-field strategies.

North GM football Cameron Joyce said Greaves’ experience will be a welcome addition.

“We are continually looking at ways in which we can improve and bring new and fresh ideas into the club,” Joyce said.

“We believe Aaron’s the perfect fit for North with his vast industry experience, and ability to work closely with the players from both the men’s and women’s teams.

“Aaron understands the demands of the game and he is a real leader in his field.”
